Chris - God bless Bob Dole. I don’t necessarily agree with his politics, but he’s responsible for the ADA. Americans don’t think about these things until they go abroad and notice the absence of elevators, ramps, etc. There is a great description of Bob Dole’s story in Tom Brokaw’s book, “The Greatest Generation”. If you haven’t read it, you should.
