dealing with the devil

the iphone is clearly pretty good. according to some analysts, something like 21 million other people agree with me on that score. just like he did with the ipod and itunes, steve jobs created a market-leading product with an almost cult-like following whose believers have once again carried apple’s stock price to near record levels....

Leif Price - Hey Will! I converted last year and admit that apple flat out knows how to design a UI! Been a longtime at@t customer but in a market with good coverage. I’m sure I would be frustrated with the service if it weren’t for my location. My only other complaint with the device is the lack of ability to store file types, other than pictures, on the device and attach them to emails. That problem on it’s own cements it’s feet in concrete as being a viable business tool.

Oh yeah… Change the damned font size on your blog so I can read it on an iPhone without having to constantly diddle the screen! ;-)

cliff mautner - Hey Will. Hopefully, if rumors are true, Verizon will be able to carry iphones. Again, rumors… I hope to speak with you sometime soon, and I think of you often.

nick - I wish that Verizon already had the iPhone. I tried the phone with AT&T; coverage sucked even here in Austin. Luckily, I still had my Verizon phone, so I returned the iPhone after 8 days. Way cool phone though. Now, only if Apple could have been smarter with the iPad.

Jimbo - since iphone service is so sketchy maybe StevJO should come out with the ipon, you know a long slender white device that you pull the string on to fire off a flare that lets your friends and family know your whereabouts and that your still alive and kicking. they could sell ‘em in bulk at SAM’s or COSTCO!

how sweet the apple

i’ve been an iphone user since late 2007, and i’ll tell you straight up, i love it. i’m never the first guy to run right out and buy the latest cell phone technology because, quite frankly, i’ve always been content with whatever i can get for the cheapest price on my at&t contract. all the...

carol - our iphones were life-saving, soul-saving, and heartstring-saving when we were apart – might be the best gift you have ever given me…

talking the talk

straight to the point…here are my words from the benefit race: lying in a hospital bed, day after day, night after night, for months on end… mostly unable to move or make your own choices about how you spend your time… gives you plenty of opportunities to think. i could have spent that time thinking...

Bobrdg7461@hotmail.com - Hey Will we pray each and every day for your speedy recovery. I had never gotten into riding dirt bikes due to being a little scared of them but I know the feeling you get when I get on my motorcycle and take to the road and look at the wonderful world that out Lord has given us.

Be strong in your faith and you will be healed. Carol you are such a wonderful person and I had a great time when we met and ran errands. God bless you both. Bob Gomez

everlasting gratitude

the reality of blogging in the web 2.0 world is you’re lucky if anybody reads your work. i’ve even heard that only 1% of all blogs are read by anyone other than the author. there are lots of people out there with lots to say, so i’m grateful when anybody reads mine, flattered when they...

Boyce Williams - Do what you can. Only you really know where your limit is today. You are setting an example of what a warrior is. Keep it going cuz and you might be able to kick my butt one of these days.

January 5, 2010 - 4:49 pm

Jimmy Allison - will, you have friends all over the world because you are just one of those real nice guys that once you meet, you just can’t let out of your life. The fact that you are so articulate adds to our enjoyment as you are able to so accurately put into words so many things that most of us can’t or don’t know how. You are an inspiration and your friendship is as they say in the commercial is-”priceless.’ Keep writing the blog as I anxiously await the next installment.

RE - Regarding your first paragraph – I’ve read every one of these entries [Is that what you're supposed to call them?] -and i’ll take just a smidgin of credit for your literary gifts … Who read to you when you were three years old? … the same book over and over?

woody - Was great to see you last week and your speech was amazing, heart felt and extremely to the point. I have used your moto reference of focusing on the landing over the size of the gap more times that you can imagine just in the past week.

Thanx for being awesome and for continuing to push. I only hope in the near future you can come on down and I can try and chase your dust!

Woody!

Laura - I’m SO proud of you Will!!! You’re doing great! And your attitude is remarkable. Love you dearly, my friend!!!

January 10, 2010 - 9:01 pm

Mike Roark - As always, your blog was a very interesting read. Keep up the writing. I was surprised by your phone call the other day. I haven’t heard from your friend but if she calls, maybe I can help her out somehow. That really shows something for your character when you could focus entirely on your own problems but you take the time to try to help out someone else.

January 11, 2010 - 2:43 pm

Susan - Your words have more impact than you give yourself credit for. I think we can safely say that your blog is read by more people than you can imagine. “The rim of the glass” piece was a testimony to your determination and your hard work towards your recovery.

You take care of the hard work and everything else will fall into place as you go along. No rush. Your friends will still be here cheering you on from the sidelines. We can’t help you to reach that finish line, that you have to do for yourself, but you have a very large fan club to help clear the path ahead.

January 15, 2010 - 4:01 pm

Bruce Vermeulen - Will, when starting RiderDown.org I truly had no idea what was to come or what it would bring. Well…let me say that one of the greatest rewards has been the relationships which have been forged. Your friendship is one that will endure long after these trials and tribulations are just a memory! Thank you my friend.
